Dorothy Lee MacKnight Obituary
Dorothy Lee MacKnight
Was Born Nov. 30, 1930 as Dorothy Lee Brunston in Corona, California. Her mother was Laura Roselee Brunston. She was later adopted by the man she considered to be her true Father, Oliver Cromwell Greene and she became Dorothy Lee Greene. She grew up as a farmer's daughter and graduated from Chaffey High School in 1948 and then attended two years of college. She Married in 1953 to Guy Stanley MacKnight, a handsome well-built Marine she met on a blind date. Dorothy and Guy had three sons (just what she wanted) Oliver Ray, Andrew Guy, and Christopher Lee. She devoted the rest of her life to being the best mom and grandmother anyone could ever ask for. She became well known locally for her devotion to charitable work and her community. She performed many years of service for the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of Ontario, the local schools as a volunteer, the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, O.P.A.R.C., and the Assistance League. Dorothy served many years on Reunion Committees as she always considered herself a proud graduate as a Chaffey High School Tiger along with the many lifelong friends she made there.
Dorothy is survived by Guy, her loving husband of nearly 62 years, her Sister Wanda Lee Fenton, her three sons, her cherished three daughters-in-law, Ceci, Pamela, and Phyllis, and her three grandchildren, Krystal Lynn MacKnight, Ian Oliver Guy MacKnight, and Skyler Annalee MacKnight.
