JOHN KOCHHEIM, JR.
Passed away on October 1, 2013, at the age of 89 in his home. John is survived by his three children, 11 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren. Born October 2, 1923 in Utrecht, Holland, John moved with his family to the US when he was two, then settled in North Carolina. When he was six, the Kochheims moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, then to California eight years later. In 1943, John was drafted into the US Army and fought during the D Day invasion, earning a Purple Heart for his service. John married Josephine Moll on May 25, 1947, and they were married for 52 years, with three children, Donna, Craig, and Wendy. He took great pride in his contracting business, Kochheim and Sons, and in his work as a member of the Al Malaikah Shrine.
Viewing will be held Friday, 10/11/13, 4 to 8pm, at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Hwy, Newhall, CA 91321, with services to follow Saturday, 10/12/2013, at 1pm.
