KATHY LANDSAW
After a long and courageous battle with cancer, Kathy (Hernandez) Landsaw passed away at her home on April 25, 2014 at the age of 61.  At the time of her passing, her hands were held, and she was surrounded by her mother, husband, children, grandchildren, and sisters.
Kathy was born in San Bernardino, California on September 26, 1952 to Joe and Hope Hernandez.  She was the oldest daughter of six children, three boys and three girls.  Her family moved to Redlands shortly after her birth where she loved being a ballerina.  Kathy attended Clement Jr. High School the first year it opened, and graduated from Redlands High School, Class of 1970.  She remained in Redlands throughout her life and eventually raised her 3 children there. Kathy proudly worked for Stater Bros. Markets in Colton, Highland, and Beaumont, and appeared in their television commercials in the mid-1980's.  She retired in 2011 after completing 29 years of service. Kathy loved making cookies with her grandchildren, spending time with her family, and traveling.  She especially treasured the time spent with her lifelong friends on her annual beach vacations.  She will always be remembered for her quiet demeanor, love for her family, beauty, strength, and courage.
Kathy is survived by her mother, Hope Hernandez of Redlands, her husband of 29 years, Paul Alan Landsaw of Redlands, CA, her children: Eric (Irene) Saldana of Highland, CA, Lynn Saldana and Elizabeth Landsaw of Redlands, and  Paul (Jennifer) Landsaw II and Candice Landsaw of San Antonio, TX.  She was a Grandma to five grandchildren: Kylee, Jamie, and Mateo Saldana of Highland, CA, and Luke and Caleb Landsaw of San Antonio, TX. A celebration of her life will be held at Emmerson-Bartlett on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.  A private burial will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery at a later date.
