Anita Marshall, born September 23, 1935, died April 5, 2012. Lucy was born Lucy
Anita Ortega to Luis Amado Ortega and Lenora Ramirez Ortega in Kerrville, Texas.
She had two younger sisters Linda Ortega and Irma Ortega. All three were raised in the family home in Kerrville. Lucy Anita Ortega graduated from Tivy High School. After graduation, Lucy moved to San Antonio where she became the Admittance Clerk at the State
Hospital. While living and working in San Antonio, Lucy met her future husband Charles Marshall at a USO dance. The couple was married in Lucy's family home in Kerrville on July 7, 1962.
Lucy and her husband Charles settled in San Marino, California where they raised two daughters Teresa Anne Marshall Ortega and Karen Marie Marshall Ramirez. Lucy left clerical work to raise the two girls. Both graduated from Occidental College.
An active member of several clubs, Lucy was the President of the San Marino Guild for John Tracy Clinic in 1993, the San Marino Garden Club in 1989-1990, and the San Marino Women's Club in 1987-1988. Lucy shared many activities including tennis, bowling, and canasta with her many friends. Each year she would travel to Texas with her husband and children to be with her sisters and extended family. In 1996 Lucy was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. She battled that disease and related health problems until her death. She is survived by her husband and children.
A Memorial Funeral will be held at the Mountain View Mortuary in their Sunshine Chapel .
