MURABITO, Matilda (Tillie)

Matilda (Tillie) Murabito passed away surrounded by her family on January 14th at the age of 92, and is now joyfully reunited with her beloved husband Sam.
Tillie was born in Chicago, Illinois on September 18, 1921 to parents Virginia and Michael D' Alfonso. She and Sam were married in 1947 and moved to Glendora in 1955. Tillie owned and operated "Chic Coiffures" Beauty Salon in Glendora for many years before retiring in 1985.
She and husband Sam were devout members of St. Dorothy's Catholic Church for over 55 years and were actively involved in the building of the parish.
A woman of unwavering faith, Tillie was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
She loved cooking, playing canasta, bowling, crossword puzzles and watching her cherished Dodgers. But most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Tillie is survived by her children, Sandra Osborn, Gina and Jack Robertson, Gene and Maura Murabito, and grandchildren Kim, Marc, Scott, Christy and Kate.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends, but we know she is at peace in heaven with our Lord Jesus and once again with husband Sam.
Funeral Services will be January 31st at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dorothy's Catholic Church in Glendora, 241 S. Valley Center Ave., followed by a reception at the Glendora American Legion Hall.
