LAMP, Nancy Joan (Bucknall)
Nancy Joan (Bucknall) Lamp passed away peacefully on
January 2, 2014. Having lived all of her life in the Pasadena area, many hours of her 84 years were spent caring for and serving others. She was a devoted wife of 65 years, loving mother of two, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Nancy was a member of the Pasadena Shakespeare Juniors and lifetime member of the (Arcadia) Assistance League. Her dedication to family, friends and community was inspirational.
Nancy was born on March 14, 1929 to Fred and Pauline Bucknall in the Rose Parade City of Pasadena. Her mother road by horse and carriage in the first Rose Parade, and the family were ardent fans throughout the years. She will be remembered for her dry sense of humor that tickled those who understood and knew her well. Family was most important to her; especially her dedicated husband, Jack, who she married shortly after WWII. Her smile and mischievous laugh will always light up the memories of friends and family. Nancy was blessed with a long and lovely life, and she will be dearly missed.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 8th at 10:00 am at Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist, Arcadia, California. A reception will be held in the church courtyard following the services. The burial will be private. Donations in her name may be made to Arcadia Assistance League, 100 S. Santa Anita Avenue Arcadia, CA 91006 or at www.alarcadia.org.
