96 passed away at home of complications from a stroke. She was a native of Redlands, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Vinton Gregory, a long-time orange grower. Born in 1920, she attended Redlands Schools, including Kingsbury, Redlands Jr. and Sr. High School graduating in 1938. She attended The University of Redlands from 1938 to 1940. She was a member of Spurs National Service Organization and Alpha Beta Sorority. She Graduated from Santa Barbara State College in 1943, Majoring in primary education. She married Ralph Weaver August 21, 1942 and taught school in Burbank for 2 1/2 years. They returned to Redlands in 1945. In 1946 Ralph became associated with Beaver Medical Clinic as their first Associate Surgeon. She served as a secretary for the YWCA, substitute taught for RUSD, and became a member of the Assistance League in 1952, serving as President for two years. She was a member of The First Baptist Church and of the Redlands Country Club for over 30 years and served on the Board for two years and as a chairman of the Women's Golf Association for one year. She was Captain of the women's golf team in 1975. Shirley was a charter member of the Redlands Bowl Associates and served as a secretary for two years. She was also a member of the Kimberly Juniors for five years and served as a Vice-President for three years. She was a Cub Scout leader and served as Co-Chairman of the American Cancer Association drive with Lois Scholton. She loved to garden, do needlepoint and read. The Weaver Family wants to thank her longtime caregivers, Jeanne Mc Donald, Gloria Cabanez and Marge Guastella for all the loving care they gave to Shirley. The family is deeply grateful for them. Her husband Ralph, predeceased her in 2006. She leaves three children; Dr. Ralph Weaver Jr. and his wife Sandra, of Houston, Texas; Dr. Robert Gregory Weaver of Culpepper, VA.; Kathleen Dawson and her husband Phil, of Atwater CA.; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service is pending. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a .
