HYNES, Michael L.
Michael L. Hynes, 32- year-old resident of Dorchester, Massachusetts, died suddenly at his home on November 15th. Beloved son of Kathleen Hynes of Edenton, N.C. and Michael J. Hynes of Altadena, he is survived by many loving friends and relatives, including his godson Sean Gillen, from around the country and around the world.
Michael had moved to Boston in 2005 and knew immediately that he was HOME. An electrician, he was a member of IBEW Local #103. Michael will especially be remembered for his passionate support of the Boston chapter of the Celtic Football Club. Last week's halftime show in Glasgow was dedicated to his memory and can be viewed at www.celticfc.tv/freeview. Other tributes were conducted at the Banshee, one of his favorite haunts, and included a bagpipe solo. While Michael will be solely missed, he will remain with us in smiles and endless memories.
On Friday, November 7th at 10:00 a.m., a memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, 1879 North Lake Avenue, Altadena. Family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be private. Donations in Michael's memory may be made to Jimmy's Fund, c/o Dana Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston MA 02284.
