CARTER, Earl H.
Earl H. Carter, age 65, passed away on January 20, 2013 with his wife of 23 years, Cheri, by his side. Earl, and his twin, Hearl, were born in 1947 in Dallas, Texas to Archie M. and Kathryn Mearl Carter. The family moved to Covina in Sept. of 1953. He attended Covina High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1965. While in high school Earl played baseball and football. He served in the
for 3 years as a Seabee with a tour in Vietnam. Earl worked in high rise steel for 25 years and then at International E-Z UP, Inc. He loved hunting and also joining friends to go to the shooting range.
Earl is survived by his wife and best friend, Cheri. He is also survived by his children, Jayme (Nate) Franklin and Joshua (Monique) Carter, grandchildren Noah and Nicole Franklin Paige and Brice Carter, sister Sue (Mike) Lassalette and brother Archie (Faye) Carter, 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 3 great-nieces and 2 great-nephews and numerous cousins. Earl was predeceased by his twin brother Hearl ( 1969), father Archie M. (2003) and mother Mearl (2007).
Earl fought pancreatic cancer for the past year. Private family services were held at his request at Rose Hills on Jan. 26, 2013.
