(89) passed away peacefully on February 7, 2013 to join the love of his life, Lorraine. JB was born in Tahlequah, OK on 2/20/23 to Matilda and Franklin Slagle. He graduated from Bagley High School in Tahlequah and then married his high school sweet- heart, Lorraine Hill on 11/29/42 . JB enlisted in the army on 12/17/43 and served in the 10th Army at Okinawa as a Private 1st Class. He was wounded on 4/20/43 and spent 5 months in Army hospitals. JB received the Purple Heart for his service to his country.
After his Army discharge he moved to Ontario with his wife and daughter Nina. Later they were joined by his second daughter Debbie. JB worked for GE Flat Iron Plant in Ontario for 12 years and then General Dynamics in Pomona for 4 years. With friends, he started a business, in Santa Monica, Ultra-Dynamics, until his retirement 30 years later. JB lived in Ontario for 38 years and then lived in Alta Loma for the remainder of his life. JB was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine, parents Frank & Matilda, brothers Woodrow, Ed, Benny, Layne, Bob and sister Bertha.
JB is survived by his daughters; Nina (Paul) Goveia, and Debbie (Scott) Campagne. 3 grandsons; Jay (Dawn) Goveia, Steven (Carrie) Campagne and Jeffrey (Lanette) Campagne. Nine great grandchildren; Ryan (Rachel), Alec, Jeremy and Travis Goveia. Allie, Kyle, Kylie, Hailey and Brooklyn Campagne. And one great-great grandson; Hayden Goveia. His two sisters; Bessie McCoy and Jackie Hutchinson. Also many nieces and nephews.
The family would especially like to thank Gerri, Eric and Josie of Genesis Manor for the excellent care given their father as he struggled with Alzheimer's. Also we would like to thank the staff at Chapman Hospice of Riverside for their care and understanding during the past 6 weeks.

Service will be at Bellevue Cemetery, in Ontario on Tuesday 2/12/13 at 2:30 PM for graveside service only.
