June 21, 1944 - April 26, 2013
Genie lost her 20 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Friday, April 26, 2013.
Born to Loretta and Glenn Ingebritson in Chicago, Illinois, Genie married her High School sweetheart, James Crosby. The two remained happily married for 52 years.
Genie and Jim have lived in Agua Dulce for the past 35 years. Genie retired from ITT in 2001 at the early age of 57 with over 25 years of service.
Genie loved the outdoor life to include: fishing, camping, bird-watching, and golf. Genie and Jim were not only husband and wife, but best friends who did everything together. Genie loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and they all truly loved her.
Genie's travels in life took her throughout the Untied States from New York to California and Florida to Chicago; with adventures along the way in Iowa, New Jersey, Montana and Nevada, as well as the 1986 World's Fair in Vancouver. She loved the High Sierras and the family loved taking hikes on Mount Whitney.
Genie is survived by her loving husband, James; her children, Jimmy, Curtis and Lori; her grandchildren, Nichole, Richard, Michael and Warren; as well as her four great grandchildren, Skyler, David, Kori and Rylen; not to mention the hundreds of others she touched with her kindness and loving nature to all she came in contact with. God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be so he put His arms around you and whispered, "Come Home with Me"
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 3rd, 11:00 a.m., at Mission Hills Catholic Mortuary, 11160 Stranwood Ave., Mission Hills. Burial will follow in San Fernando Mission Cemetery. - With All Our Love, Your Family
