Carolyn Jeanne Carlson, 83, Red Oak, passed away April 17, 2017, at Tabor Manor.
She was born May 11, 1933, in Montgomery County, to Chester P. and Violet I. (Kelley) Cary, who preceded her in death.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn is also preceded in death by her great-granddaughter, Lindsey Fisher. Carolyn was a very caring person, and as a home health aide, she helped many people in her community. Family was the most important thing to her and she loved cooking and caring for them.
She is survived by her husband Dale; son, Rick and wife, Esther; daughter, Pat; and son, Randy; grandsons, Chet Carlson, Joshua Carlson, Greyson Carlson, and Brock Carlson; granddaughters, Katie Confer and husband Mark; Annie Fisher and husband Tyler; and Emma, Lindy, and Hadley Carlson; great-grandchildren, Jackson Fisher, Cooper Confer, and Brooklin Confer; sister, Marlene Adams and husband Curt; brothers-in-law, Bob Hossle and Darl Carlson; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Carlson.
It was Carolyn's wish to be cremated and there will be no viewing.
Memorial services will be held at the Hawthorne Methodist Church Saturday, May 6, at 2:30 p.m., with visitation beginning one hour prior at 1:30 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at Evergreen Cemetery in Red Oak.
