Chester Lee Fussell

AYDEN - The Rev. Chester Lee Fussell, 94, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11 a.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park.
The Rev. Fussell, a native of the Belvoir community, was a lifelong resident of Pitt County. He served in the Army Medical Corps 103rd Division during World War II. In 1984 he moved to Ayden, where he worked as a cabinet maker and served as a minister. The Rev. Fussell went on to start many churches, leading many people to the Lord, preaching was his lifelong passion.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Bettie F. Fussell; sisters, Minnie Dungan, of Mesa, Ariz. and Margie Fussell, of Greenville; and a brother, J.C. Fussell of Farmville.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
