WINTERVILLE - Mr. Randy Lee Jackson, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Vidant Medical Center.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at 4PM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Turner officiating. A private burial will occur at a later date.

A native of Pender County, Randy was born to the late William Claudius Jackson and Rae Teachey Wood and was a graduate of Farmville Central High School. For more than 25 years, he worked in the Textile industry as an inspector for Collins & Aikman. Following his work at Collins & Aikman, he returned to school and became an Industrial Management graduate of Pitt Community College.

Randy will be fondly remembered for his love of family. He was a generous person who would gladly come to the aid of those in need.

He loved to watch sports, especially the Red Sox and Dolphins. Playing Fantasy Football every year became a family tradition and he was the expert. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, and loved his dogs and granddogs. He was happiest spending time with his family at the river. A loving husband, father, brother and friend, Randy will be so missed by the many who knew and loved him.

He is survived by: Wife of 33 years, Lisa Bailey Jackson; Son, David Lee Jackson of Greenville; Daughter, Shannon Jackson Dubois and husband, Travis, of Washington. Mother, Rae Teachey Wood and husband, Marion, of Wallace; Sisters, Cindy J. Ledford of Burnsville, NC and Donna J. Hale and husband, Pat, of Greenville; Brother, William Patrick Jackson and wife, Cathy, of Teachey; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
