Kenneth Rakestraw Obituary
Mr. Rakestraw was a Kentucky native and attended Faith Assembly Church. He was employed with Century 21 Real Estate the Elite Group. He was employed several years with Neuhoff Farms.
He was preceded in death by his father, Erskine Rakestraw.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Sutton Rakestraw of the home; son, Mac Rakestraw of Kinston; stepson, Chris Adams of Ayden; daughters, Julie Rakestraw and Jessica Sandy, both of Greenville, and Sarah Rakestraw of Kinston; mother, Anna Mae Rakestraw of Black Creek; sisters, Anna Barnes, Pat Cook and husband, Johnny, Becky Brock and husband, Lee, and Jackie Boone and husband, Patrick; four granddaughters, Makayla, Taylor, JoAnna and Jesslyn .
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. A private graveside service will be held at Black Creek Cemetery, officiated by the Rev. Raymond Hoggard. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Monday at Farmer Funeral Home, Ayden.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of his daughter, Sarah Rakestraw, to United Cerebral Palsy, Summer Moore Foundation, 1101 S.E. Greenville Blvd. Greenville, NC 27858.

Jackie,
I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend and wonderful husband. Ken was a special person and my "buddy". Please remember the good times and know we here at Century 21 Elite still consider you as family just as Ken was. He will be greatly missed and we are here for you.
