Mr. Billy Arthur Beamon, 61, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014.
The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Beamon, a native of Pitt County, was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed with NACCO as an assembler and was a member of the Black Jack Original Free Will Baptist Church. A family man, he especially loved his grandchildren and spending time with them.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Peggy M. Beamon; son, Walter Glenn Heath Jr. and wife, Kathy, of Deep Run; grandchildren, Stephanie Hardison and husband, Jack, of Kinston and Stacey Ball and husband, Joe, of Deep Run; two special great-granddaughters, Hannah Ball and Kenly Hardison; brothers, Charles Beamon and Rodney Beamon; sister, Sheila Ann Revels; and half-brother, P. J. Beamon.
