To the Tovey Family: Dr. Tovey was a professor of mine when I was enrolled in the TPC Graduate Program at ECU. She was always very supportive of her students. Her degree of dedication to her profession was evident. It was a pleasure learning from her. My sincere sympathy.

Hello, Don and Family,
I am so deeply sorry at losing Jan. She was such a joyous soul, always with a ready smile. She was so kind and encouraging when I was going through my own cancer treatments. My wife Christy and I send our warmest thoughts and deepest condolences. It's a loss for everyone.

Dr. Tovey was my inspiration for going after my PhD. She was my role model because she showed me that if she could do it, so could I - I was never going to be too old. I am so very saddened to learn of her passing and my deepest condolences go out to you and your family in this difficult time. May God grant you comfort and peace.
