Myrtle Wilkinson Obituary

Myrtle Baker Wilkinson, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at her Cypress Glen home where she had been a resident since 2006. A memorial service will be held in Wake Forest.
A native of Asheville, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Everett Shuford Wilkinson Jr. and her loving son Stephen Baker Wilkinson.
She is survived by her brother, Ruggles Lee Baker; three children, Michael Shuford Wilkinson and wife, Janice, Anne Wilkinson Bishop and husband, Bob, and Joan Wilkinson Chaffee and husband, John; seven grandchildren, Kyle Shuford Wilkinson, Aaron Gordon Wilkinson and wife, Chasity, Zachary Everett Bishop and wife Kim, Matthew Earl Bishop and wife Holly, Anne Chaffee Crawford and husband Andy, John Alexander Chaffee, and Jane Densmore Chaffee; and six great-grandchildren, Ezra Tucker Ore, Autumn Leigh Wilkinson, Dailei-Anne Wilkinson, Connor Stephen Bishop, Caroline Zehnder Bishop, and Kate Densmore Crawford.
The family expresses sincere gratitude to the entire staff and volunteers at Cypress Glen Retirement Community for the care, love and support given to Myrtle over the past six years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cypress Glen Benevolence Fund, 100 Hickory Street, Greenville, NC 27858 (Memo: In Memory of Myrtle Wilkinson) or to the charity of one's choice.
