Wanda Godley Obituary

BEAR GRASS - Ms. Wanda Dawes Godley, 40, died Sunday, May 20, 2012.
Wanda, a Martin County native, was a lifelong resident of the Bear Grass community. She attended Bear Grass School, and Rose of Sharon Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Dwight "Cat" Dawes; grandfather, William E. "Bill" Rogers; and grandmother, Gladys Dawes.
She is survived by her son, John Lynn Asby Jr., "Little John," of Pinetown; mother, Vicky Rogers, of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and grandmother, Ella Faye Rogers, of Bear Grass.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Equine Department, Martin Community College, 1161 Kehukee Park Road, Williamston, NC 27892.
