Wilton "Buddy Boy" Jones Stancill, Jr.

AYDEN - Wilton "Buddy Boy" Jones Stancill, Jr., passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018, after failing health.

Graveside services will be held Monday at 10 AM in the Stancill Family Cemetery, located at 1747 Porter Road, Greenville, NC, in the Belvoir community.

Wilton was raised in the Belvoir community and attended Belvoir Falkland high school. He was a machinist by trade and a very good self-taught mechanic. He was a quiet spirited, loving man who let you know that he loved God and had asked his forgiveness many years ago. He greeted us all with a hug and you never left him without another one. He was always calling to check on each family member and asking what he could do for us. Such a generous, loving person, with a heart of gold, he truly was. He loved family gatherings, singing the old gospel songs with brother, John. One of his favorite hymns was "The Old Rugged Cross", however he also loved Christmas songs. He could entertain us with Hank Williams old songs as well. His memory will be with us all, forever.

Wilton was preceded in death by both parents, Wilton J. Stancill, Sr. and Lillie Mae Stancill; his only daughter, Sue Ellen Stancill; brother, Milton Ray Stancill; and 4 sisters, Betty Johnson, Josephine Bullock, Barbara Taylor, and Shirley Stancill; and one great niece, Abbie Lin Holt.

He is survived by his sons, Jeff Stancill and wife, Daisy, of Wilson, and Tracy Stancill and husband, Mike Nault, of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Brittany S. Bulluck; and great grandson, Cameron Bulluck; brother, John R. Stancill and wife, Sue, of Greenville; 2 sisters, Eleanor Cavileer and husband, David, of Cary, and Linda Norville and husband, Bill, of Farmville; along with many nieces and nephews who loved their "Uncle Buddy Boy". He is also survived by the mother of his children, Lou Ellen Wagner Stancill and his partner of 25 years, Christine McRoy of Ayden.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 5-8 PM at the home of Bill and Linda Norville, 3193 N. Pitt Street, Farmville, NC.
