Joseph Paramore Obituary

Joseph H. Paramore Joseph Haywood Paramore, 76, went home to be with the Lord on May 8, 2009, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Temple Freewill Baptist Church. Mr. Paramore was born on June 5, 1932, and raised in the Pactolus community. In 1955, he went to live in Painesville, Ohio, and lived there until he retired and moved back to Greenville in 1997. He worked 27 years for Radix Wire Company in Euclid, Ohio, and was, for a time, part owner of Paramore's Atlantic at the corner of Washington and Liberty streets in Painesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Major and Zcerda Paramore; sisters, Pauline Whitley and Audrey Wilcox; brothers, Bernice Paramore and Dowell Paramore; and a grandson, "Richie." He is survived by his wife, Ethel Mae Paramore; children, Brenda Murphy, of Mentor, Ohio, and Joey Paramore and Jena Paramore, of Walstonburg; brother, John Paramore, of Belvoir; sister, Jean Hudson, of Winterville; granddaughter, Shannon Grampa, of Fairport Harbor, Ohio; grandsons, Nicholas Edwards, of Walstonburg and Jeremy Murphy of Toledo, Ohio; and great-granddaughter, Hannah Murphy, of Toledo, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Building Fund or Temple Youth Fund, 130 W. Fire Tower Road, Winterville, NC 28590. Arrangements by Wilkerson Funeral Home and Crematory. Joe was such a pleasure to have in our exercise class at HealthSteps. He will be missed by all of his friends there, and I am glad to have been able to be a part of his care there.
