Virginia Brown Obituary

Mrs. Virginia Dail Brown, 92, died Monday, July 23, 2012. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Brown, a native of Greene County, had been a lifelong resident of Greenville. She was employed with Jane Shop in children's retail, and retired from (PCMH) Vidant Medical Center in the cashier's office. She was a faithful member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She dearly loved all her church family, her many friends, her family and her favorite hobby, flowers.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, J. Tom Brown; son, Larry Thomas "Tommy" Brown; and second husband, Charlie Mills.
She is survived by her daughter, Lois Brown Eidson and husband, Wayne; son, Donald Wayne Brown and wife, Diane, all of Raleigh; grandchildren, Brownie Eidson and wife, Paige, of Tarboro, Carol Sherwood and husband, Chris, of Charlottesville, Va., Larry Thomas Brown Jr., of Dare County, and Don Brown and wife, Stephanie, of Raleigh; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Evelyn Davenport, of Stokes, Selma Richards, of Birmingham, Ala., and Barbara Hamlin, of Jacksonville, Fla.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Flowers are welcome or memorial contributions may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 2426 S. Charles Blvd., Greenville, NC 27858, or to the National Kidney Foundation, Inc., 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.

What a beloved, wonderful, fun and gracious lady. She always had a smile. She will be missed, not only by her family and friends, but by my dog who would secret himself out of the yard to be with her and get her affection. I will always look for her in her yard where she loved to be. My prayers to her family.

My prayers to the family of Ms Virginia. I remember meeting her as a child - I lived next to her Mom, " Mamma Dail".It was always a delight to see her come visit her Mom in Tarboro. Ms Virginia was a beautiful women - inside and out. she will truly be missed. Debbie Baggett Serra
