Mr. Eugene Williamson, 89, died October 16, 2013.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 4 pm in The Memorial Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Williamson, a native of Michigan, who was raised in Kentucky, had been a resident of Greenville for the past 25 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He served as an Intelligence officer in the Central Intelligence Agency until his retirement in 1977. He was a member of the Pitt Golden K Kiwanis, Civitan Club, served on the Simpson Planning and Zoning Board, was a devoted server for the Meals on Wheels, member of The Memorial Baptist Church and was an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne J. Williamson.
He is survived by his: daughter, Linda W. Leggett and husband, Billy, of Williamston; sons, James A. Williamson and wife, Alice, of Vienna, VA and Keith E. Williamson and wife, Renée, of Camano Island, Washington State; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
