Douglas Hardison Obituary

Mr. Douglas Elwood Hardison, Jr., 70, died Friday morning, December 26, 2014. A native of Greene County, he was born January 16, 1944, the son of Douglas Elwood and Emma Mae Hardison. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and had retired from Brown and Williams Tobacco Company where he worked for thirty years. Funeral Services will be held 6 PM Sunday, December 28, at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with the Reverend Jack Weathersby presiding. Committal Services will be held 11 AM Monday at the Snow Hill Cemetery. Mr. Hardison is survived by his wife, Mary Roberson Hardison; daughter, Lisa Hardison Turnage and husband, Donald of Farmville; sons, Douglas Elwood Woody Hardison III and wife, Crystal of Clayton and Andrew Scott Andy Hardison and wife, Cathy of Walstonburg; grandchildren, Hunter Turnage, Cole Turnage, Ben Turnage, Macy Hardison and Asa Hardison; and sisters, Joan W. Taylor of Walstonburg and Brenda H. Little of Wilson. The family will receive friends on Sunday following the service and other times at the residence.
