TOLLAND >> Lorraine C. Brodeur, 57, of Tolland, beloved wife of William Lavernoich, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013. She was born March 2, 1955 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (McEnaney) Brodeur. She was raised in Cheshire, CT.
She graduated from Boston College in 1977 and retired from the State of CT in July 2011 after 34 years of service as a Senior Budget Analyst. Lorraine moved to Tolland in 1983, and became a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in and was a former Eucharistic Minister.
Besides her husband William of 28 years, she is survived by her children David Lavernoich of Georgia, Alex Lavernoich, and Rebecca Lavernoich both of Tolland. She also leaves her brothers William Brodeur and his wife Sally of Maine, Brian Brodeur and his wife Sandra of Massachusetts, as well as her mother-in-law Elizabeth Lavernoich and her brother-in-laws Edward, Joseph, and John Lavernoich. She was predeceased by her son, Andrew.
Relatives and friends may join the family on Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Tolland Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Merrow Road (Rt 195), Tolland, CT 06084. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church, Tolland. Burial will follow at South Cemetery, Tolland.
