Marion Coffey Vaccari(1920 - 2013)

Marion Coffey Vaccari, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2013, surrounded by her loving family. Marion was the "ever loving" wife of D. John Vaccari for 65 years. She was born on Dec. 20, 1920 in Winsted, daughter of the late James T. And Louise Salle Coffey. Marion was a graduate of St. Anthony School, the Gilbert School, and BayPath College in Springfield, Massachusetts. With her husband, she owned and operated Vaccari's-Young Fashions for 53 years. She was a faithful communicant of St. Joseph Church, a member of the Catholic Women's Club, the Jolly Molly's, Daughters of Isabella, and past officer of the St. Anthony School PTO. In her retirement, she greatly enjoyed winters in Florida, Wednesday night bingo, weekly card gatherings, and trips to the casino. The joy of her life was enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Marion is survived by her children, Donna (Tom) Cady, Pat (Dennis) Devanney, Mary Vaccari, Martha (David) Chamberlain, her brother James T. Coffey (Gladys), cousins Mary Jane Keiller and Robert J. O'Neil, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call on Monday, March 18, 2013 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main St., Winsted, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at St. Joseph Church, Winsted at 1 p.m. Burial will be held in the spring.
