TORRINGTON >> Mitchell Keslow, 83, of Torrington, passed away Monday, Jan. 14, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Jessie (Loschiavo) Keslow. Mitchell was born in Torrington, on Nov. 24, 1929, a son of the late Sophie (Sody) and Mitchell Keslow, Sr.
He served two years in the National Guard as a cook. He worked as a insurance agent at Metropolitan Ins for 20 years and later as Security Guard at Brunswick Corp. He was a beloved husband and father who enjoyed OTB and trips to the casino, and coaching his sons in Little League.
In addition to his wife he leaves three sons Mitchell Keslow, of Winsted; Thomas Keslow, of Torrington; and Scott Keslow, of Colorado; daughter-in-law Carol Keslow of Torrington and grandchildren Chris, Amber, and Michael of Torrington, Jesse of Winsted, and Elizabeth of Colorado.
He also leaves a sister Kathleen Johnson and husband George of Winsted and brother Robert Keslow of Torrington and a nephew Robert Keslow of Vermont as well as several cousins. He was predeceased by son Mark.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Jan 20, 2 p.m. at PSam's Restaurant in Torrington.
