HARWINTON >> Raymond B. Neski, 95, of Harwinton passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013 at his home. He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Beverly (Achee) Neski.
Raymond was born in Torrington, on June 8, 1917, the son of the late Wanda (Suthowski) and Bronislaw Neski. He served honorably in the U.S. Army Air Force in WW II.
Mr. Neski was a cost accountant at Anaconda American Brass for 46 years.
He was an active golfer and bowler. He served as a church usher for over 50 years and was a member of The Knights of Columbus. An accomplished basketball player in his youth, he continued his enjoyment of the game as an avid UCONN Women's basketball fan.
In addition to his wife, he leaves sons Gerald J. Neski and his wife Isabella Garofola of Woodstown, New Jersey and their children Matthew and Laura, Mark Neski and his children Elliot, Arwen, Maya, and Isaiah, and a daughter Kate Reed of Naples, Maine and her daughter Sarah, one great-grandchild, Noah, and a daughter-in-law Suzi Neski of Annapolis, MD, He was predeceased by his son, Ronald B. Neski, and his sister, Irene Regis.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.
