BARKHAMSTED >> Walter Zima, passed away on Saturday March 2, 2013. He was the loving husband of Jennie (Onion) Zima for 56 years. Born on October 15, 1931 in Burlington; the son of the late Majac and Helen (Munik) Zima.
Walter was a Medic in the United States Army
serving in Korea. He had a great love for furniture building from coffee tables to grandfather clocks. He was a loved husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed. In addition to his wife, he leaves a son, Walter Zima and Brandy; a daughter, Lorrie Nichols and Greg; two sisters, Marjorie King and Josephine Kilduff; grandchildren, Meaghan, Travis, Cody, Derek, Mark and Kaitlyn; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Benedict Zima; and four sisters, Rose Yahne, Stella Kulik, Ann Andreoli and Sophie Kulik.
