I will miss you. You were good friend and confidant. You peformed the ceremony for my wife Debra and I along the banks of the Nepaug River here in New Hartford, in June of 2007. You always had good vehicles for sale at the bottom of South Road in Nepaug center. Every fire call, you stood in all types of weather, to safely direct traffic. Your hearty laugh and beaming smile are etched in my mind and I grew up in the very same house that you did on Stub Hollow! I will never forget you and will treasure my memories of you forever. God bless you, Richie and your beautiful wife, "Moe"; too! Rest now, in peace and be with God. - Your friend-Benjamin Garrett Martin 2/08/2011 -

To Monique, Richie, JoAnne and all the friends and relatives of Richard (Bubby)Calder III.
When people are often unreasonable, irrational, and self centered.
FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY>

If you are kind, people may accuse you of being selfish, ulterior motives.
BE KIND ANYWAY

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.
SUCCEED ANYWAY

If you are honest and sincere, people may deceive you.
BE HONEST AND SINCERE ANYWAY.

Even if you spend years creating, and others could destroy overnight what you worked so hard to achieve.
CREATE ANYWAY.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.
BE HAPPY ANYWAY.

The good you do today will often be forgotten.
DO GOOD ANYWAY!

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.
GIVE YOUR BEST ANYWAY!

IN THE FINAL ANALYSIS IT IS BETWEEN YOU AND GOD. IT WAS NEVER BETWEEN YOU AND THEM ANYWAY!!!!
(THIS WAS FOUND WRITTEN ON THE WALL IN MOTHER TERESA'S HOME FOR CHILDREN IN CALCUTTA)
This poem is how I felt Bubby was. In his later years he was always getting closer to Our Lord by the manner in which he spent his life.
I saw him always as a gift from God. I was just a mere first cousin that he would bump into from time to time, but always felt how blessed I was to have had him in my life.
May God be with you at this sad time.

To Moe, Joanne and all of Rich's family and close friends - there are no words to express the sadness and loss we feel. Please find comfort in the fact that Rich enriched the lives of so many others with his cheerful disposition and his gracious heart. He always had a smile on his face and a good story to tell. May he now rest in the peace that surpasses all understanding. We were blessed to have him in our lives for a time.

For the entire family and relatives of Bubby, My heart aches for all of you. Bub was a kind, warm, loving man and it showed in the way he devoted his time and energy at Shea, and to his family and friends. He always make us laugh and his quick wit was unforgettable.Growing up with your family around always made us feel loved and welcomed.

To Moe and Joanne our hearts and love are with you.
