Annemarie Peck Obituary
PECK, ANNEMARIE (KRUTOHOLOW) Annemarie (Krutoholow) Peck, 64, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 after a long and courageous battle where she surpassed all of the doctors’ predictions. She was the beloved wife of Laurence E. Peck, Jr. for 45 years. Born in Germany, daughter of the late Wasyl and Gertrud (Bocke) Krutoholow, Anne’s family immigrated to Hartford when she was 7 and most recently she was a resident of Torrington and a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Harwinton. She was able to overcome many obstacles from a language barrier to bullying and was able to become a straight A student. After marrying and graduating, Anne taught high school, college, and adult night school, ran a day care, and developed and wrote over 50 training courses used by government, corporate and educational institutions. She also created an image-consulting business in which she trained over 1000 women and men while helping thousands of women to improve their self-image. She loved spending time with her grandson, enjoyed genealogy and watching the Red Sox and the Patriots play. An amazing and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she leaves her daughter Shellie Anello and her husband Michael of New Milford, her grandson, Isaiah Peck, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Peck of Newington. Anne also leaves her two brothers, Willi Krutoholow of Wolcott and Peter Krutoholow and his wife Diane of Oxford. She was predeceased by her son Matthew Peck. A Memorial Service of Remembrance will begin on Friday, December 27th from 5:00-6:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Rd., Harwinton, with calling hours to follow from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 28th, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 626 Willard Ave., Newington. She will be laid to rest in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Isaiah Laurence Peck Irrevocable Trust, Wells Fargo Advisors, 450 Post Road East, Westport, CT 06880.
