Lucie LaRocco

TORRINGTON >> Lucie (D`Amico) LaRocco, of Torrington, CT, died peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2013, at her home with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Sam LaRocco for 66 years.
Lucie was born in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Albert and Concetta (Cimmino) D`Amico. She was a secretary, employed by Center Congregational Church and then for Mayor Hodges Waldron, and also was a Real Estate Agent with Harold Burns and Associates. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi, the Junior Women`s Club, and the Torrington Country Club where she was an avid golfer. Lucie was a wonderful seamstress, cook, and loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Sam, she is survived by one son, Donald J. LaRocco and his wife Sandra of Torrington; three daughters, Nancy Williams and her husband Peter of New Hartford, Janet Rocco of Berlin, Joyce A. Germano and her husband Thomas of New Hartford; four grandchildren, Michael Germano, Matthew Germano, Dana Russo, Alexa LaRocco; one great grandson, Colton Russo, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Pastorello and Florence Campetti.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Center Congregational Church, 155 Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.
