DENNIS, Mass. - Samuel S. Cappellina, 86 died in South Dennis, Ma., on Jan. 30, 2011. He was the husband of Ann Cappellina and has lived in Brewster, Mass. since 1983. Born in Torrington, has was the son of the late John and Theresa Cappellina, father of Jean Clapp and her children and grandchildren and John D. R. Cappellina and granddaughters, Allyson and Maria and brother of Albert Cappellina of Torrington, Ct., and the late Joe, Paul, and Rose.
Cappy had many wonderful years working in the
field. In 1968 he met his wife Ann and his life went to the dogs. As the former owner of "The Dog House" of Litchfield where they worked together breeding and showing Labrador Retrievers and groom and boarding animals. They retired to Cape Cod in 1983. After residing on Cape Cod for a year he was moved to get back into dogs and worked grooming until 2009 when he had a fall and was unable to continue. He spent the last two years under the wonderful care at the Hewins unit at Eagle Pond Rehabilitation Center in Dennis, Mass.
