TORRINGTON >> Anne Louise (Goetz) Petricone, 69, of Torrington, entered into eternal life on Oct. 2, 2013 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Joseph R. Petricone, Sr. Anne was born July 24, 1944, in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Frederick and Ann (Oberle) Goetz.
Anne was a registered nurse who served her country with the United States Army and was stationed in Korea. She then was employed by Torrington Extend-A-Care, Winsted Memorial Hospital, and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Anne loved spending time with her grandchildren, traveling to Aruba, and playing bingo with her dear friends.
In addition to her beloved husband of 45 years, Anne is survived by two sons, Joseph R. Petricone, Jr. and his wife Deirdre, and their children Cecilia, and Daniel, and John D. Petricone and his wife Ashley and his daughter Victoria of Torrington; two brothers, Gene Goetz and Jim Goetz, both of Florida; two sisters, Marilyn Doyle of Pennsylvania and Barbara Reichert of New Jersey, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Martina Streed.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 5, with the cortege leaving at 10 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
