1920 - 2012 Obituary Condolences
EAST CANAAN - Domenic Sebben, 91, of 6 Brown's Lane died Sunday afternoon April 15, 2012 at the Sharon Hospital in Sharon Connecticut. He was the husband of Rose May (Tazarra) Sebben. Domenic was born Dec. 4, 1920 in Belluno, Italy son of the late Joseph and Constantina (Pescador) Sebben.
Domenic was the Post Master at the East Canaan Post Office for many years. He retired in 1985. He served his country during WW II in the Army Air Corps. Domenic was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Canaan as well as a life member of the Berkshire Council Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, Domenic is survived by his son, Domenic Sebben Jr. of East Canaan, three granddaughters Tiffany Moake and Nicole Narvaez both of San Antonio, Texas and Vanessa Sebben of Littleton, Massachusetts; two great-grandsons, Owen and Oliver Moake both of San Antonio, Texas, and another great-grandson due next month. He is also survived by sister, Mary Woodman of West Cornwall, and brothers, Mario Sebben of East Canaan, and Guido Sebben of Torrington. Domenic was predeceased by his sister Lena Zavagnin.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday April 20, at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph Church 4 Main St. North Canaan, CT 06018. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. There are no calling hours and there will be no procession from the funeral home.
