AUDIA, HELEN H. Helen H. (Negroski) Audia, 86, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, November 13, 2013. She was the loving wife of Domenick S. Audia for 65 years. Helen was born January 19, 1927, in Ambridge, PA, daughter of the late Vincent and Victoria (Purkoski) Negroski. She was predeceased by her sisters, Wanda Zullo, Virginia Rico, and her brother Vincent Negroski. She met her beloved husband in 1946 in Washington, D.C., where she worked as a secretary in the Pentagon. The couple moved to Torrington in 1948 where they married. Helen worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Torrington Company, retiring after 29 years. She was president of the Parent-Teachers Guild at St. Peter School when her children were young and attended there. Helen leaves behind her daughter, Beverly Kocsis, son Steven Audia and wife Melissa, daughter Diane Audia and son Vincent Audia and wife Debbie, all of Torrington. She is survived by 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Family and friends may call at Cook Funeral Home on Wednesday, evening, November 20th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Peter / St. Francis School, c/o The Pastoral Center, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790.
