TORRINGTON >> Helen I. Tucker, 91, of Torrington, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Tucker Sr. Helen was born in Simsbury, on March 19, 1922, a daughter of the late Emma (Peck) and Leroy Iffland.
She was employed by Torrington National Bank for many years and also worked as office manager for Laurel Cablevision.
She was an active member of Center Congregational Church
Helen is survived by a son John Tucker and his wife Grace of Parkland, Florida and their children Sean and Kyle and three daughters, Jane Vannini and husband Thomas and their children Jill and Bryan; Barbara Denza and husband Paul and their children Melissa and Steven, all of Torrington; and Margi Carpentieri and husband Charles of Natick, Massachusetts.
She was predeceased by a brother Roger Iffland and sisters Mildred Iffland and Doris Curtis.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Sept 25 at 10 a.m. from Phalen Funeral Home, 285 Migeon Ave., Torrington to Center Congregational Church, Torrington, CT, at 11 a.m..
Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
Friends may call Tuesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
