1935 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
ROY, JOHN MORAY “MO” John Moray “Mo” Roy, 78, of Collinsville, the beloved husband for 51 years of the late Cynthia (Peasley) Roy, died Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Governors House in Simsbury. He was born November 24, 1935 in Litchfield, son of the late Arthur Cushing and Valerie (Moray) Roy and had lived in Collinsville for over 40 years. Mo was a veteran the U.S. Army and was a Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America for 43 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed woodworking and fixing items in his shop, gardening, watching his sons play sports, fishing, coffee, vanilla ice cream and talking about his granddaughters. He is survived by his two sons, Brian “Clubber” Roy of Canton and Keith Roy and wife Sherie of Myrtle Beach, SC; two granddaughters, Heather and Hollie Roy of Myrtle Beach, SC; his sister-in-law, Cherie Centrella and her husband John of Torrington and two nieces, Randi and Jaime Centrella of Torrington. A memorial service will be celebrated on Thursday, July 17th, 11:00 AM at the Vincent Funeral Home, 120 Albany Turnpike in Canton. Friends may call prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
