1928 - 2012 Obituary Condolences
WINSTED - Joseph Indino, 83, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at his home. He was the loving husband of the late Lidia Indino who passed away in February after 59 years of marriage. Born April 30, 1928 in Winsted; the son of the late Orazio and Margaret (DeSpirito) Indino.
When he was young, Joseph was the Winsted Fire Dept. Mascot for Engine #2. He served in the United States Army. Joseph retired from Hudson Wire after 25 years and then later retired from Hitchcock Chair. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. And a communicant of St. Joseph Church, Winsted. He was also a bowler at Laurel Lanes on leagues for many years, and enjoyed playing cards, horseshoes and word search puzzles.
He leaves his children, Carmelina Connole and husband James of Winsted, Margaret Leighton and husband Philip Vanasse of Ware, Massachusetts and Joseph Indino, Jr., of Winsted; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Jessica, Tiffany, Genesa and James; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Lidia, Luca and Ellie; a brother, Michael Indino and wife Margaret of Winsted; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings, John, Antoinette, Marie and Vito.
Friends may call on Sunday, April 15, at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 3 to 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 16, at St. Joseph's Church, Winsted at 10 a.m. Burial with full Military Honors will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Winsted along with his devoted wife.
