SABO, MAHLON “CHUCK” Mahlon “Chuck” Sabo, 71, beloved husband to Elaine (Lattimer) Sabo, of Torrington, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2014. He was born in New Britain and was son to the late Mahlon E. and Helen (Portante) Sabo. After retiring as deputy chief for the New Britain Police Dept., Chuck served as the police chief in Torrington, retiring in 1997. In addition to his wife, Elaine, he is survived and will be dearly missed by his two daughters: Melissa (Sabo) Marshall and her husband Daniel of Sierra Vista, AZ, and Chelsea Sabo and her fiancé, Keith Murray, of Torrington; and a son, Ryan Sabo, of Torrington; a sister, Linda Sabo, of Saco, Maine; three precious grandchildren: Derek Mayette, James and Devon Marshall, of Sierra Vista, AZ, and aunts, uncles and cousins. A time of visitation will be held Sunday, August 24, 2014, from 2-5pm, concluding with his Remembrance Service at 4:30pm at the New Britain Memorial Donald D.
