WINSTED >> Marlene K. Gouthier, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Harold Gouthier for 33 years. Born Nov. 19, 1942 in Hartford; the daughter of the late Edward and Irene (Adler) Katz.
Marlene graduated from Weaver High School in Hartford. She was a Home Health Aide for Foothills VNA in Winsted for over 20 years. She loved playing bingo, knitting and reading. Marlene also loved visiting her place in Vermont.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children, Nadene Stein and her partner Tyrone Sandefur of Massachusetts, Michael Stein and his partner of Mary DeAnglis of Winsted, Gary Stein and his wife Molly DiLullo-Stein of Torrington, Lori Young and her husband Robert of Torrington, Jody Gouthier of Torrington and Leslie Gouthier of Torrington; grandchildren, Devin Young, Tylar Young, Myla Carlson, Ethan DiLullo-Stein and Jaxan DiLullo-Stein; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday, Sept. 27, at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28, at Forest View Cemetery, Winsted at 11 a.m. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.
