THOMASTON >> Roger J. Thrall, 88, of Thomaston, passed away on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria G. (Primato) Thrall. Mr. Thrall was born on Feb. 25, 1924, in Torrington, the son of the late Edward and Fern (Gangell) Thrall.

He was employed by the Torrington Company as a foreman until his retirement. He was a member of the Torrington Company`s Foreman Club, an avid gardener, hunter and fisherman. Along with being a New York Yankee fan he enjoyed watching UCONN Women`s Basketball.
He is survived by one son, Alan Thrall of Bethel, Maine; four daughters, Jean Devaux of Torrington, Carol Hoebel of Thomaston, Susan Heacox of Willington, Elaine Fijal of Manchester; one sister, June Kulikauskas of Torrington; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Douglas Thrall, Miles Thrall, Edward Thrall, Leonard Thrall and one sister, Marie Poole.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening, Nov. 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
