TORRINGTON >> Vera J. Troccolo, 92, of Torrington, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 20, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Anthony Troccolo. Mrs. Troccolo was born on Feb. 9, 1921, in Italy, daughter of the late Antonio and Rosina (Bossone) Renzullo.
She was employed by Caldor's as a marketing clerk until her retirement. She was a member of the Sons of Italy Woman`s Club, a communicant of St. Peter Church, a member of the St. Peter Holy Rosary Society, and a member of the Third Order of St. Francis Cabrini.
She is survived by three sons, Louis and his wife Joan of Wallingford, David and his wife Kathy of Bristol, Anthony and his wife Kathleen of Thomaston; five grandchildren, Robert, Brian and wife Kim, Paul, Lisa and Matthew; one great-grandson, Dominic Troccolo, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Olindo Renzullo, Louis Renzullo, Michael Renzullo, Siro Renzullo and three sisters, Mamie Zeller, Gilda Gallicchio, and Irma Sabia.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 23, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
