Pasquale Valentino Obituary
VALENTINO, PASQUALE Pasquale Valentino, 60, of Torrington, CT passed away Friday, February 28, 2014 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Assunta (Suppa) Valentino. Pasquale was born February 9, 1954 in Benevento, Sant’Agata, Italy, son of the late Carmela Valentino. He was employed by the Torrington Company with the maintenance department until his retirement. In addition to his loving wife, Assunta, he is survived by two sons, Carmine Valentino and his wife Rebecca, grandson Carmine Pasquale, and Rodolfo Armondo Valentino, both of Torrington; one brother, Michele Valentino, his wife Anna, and their children, Immacolata, Antonietta, Carmine and Gerardo; as well as several nieces and nephews in Italy. Pasquale was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hunting and fishing at Point Folly in Bantam. He loved his garden and his gardening buddy Giovanni Fappino who was by his side from spring to fall planting, pruning and harvesting. The greatest joy in life was his grandson and teaching him all of the Italian traditions like making wine and sauce. Our family would like to sincerely thank Pasquale’s doctors and all of the caring nurses and staff who cared for him at dialysis for the last 30 years and his last days at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to the Samantha Hall Fund @ Condolences may be sent to the Valentino family by visiting
