CANTON/WINSTED >> Mildred (Amelia) Hanley, 88, of The Cherry Brook Health Center in Canton, (formerly of Winsted), passed away peacefully on May 9, 2014 after a short illness. She was the wife of the Late Edward W. Hanley, Sr. of Winsted. Born in Sheffield, Massachusetts she was the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Antonchuk) Jasman. She is survived by her children Gene Hanley and his wife Linda of Burlington, Kentucky, Susan Hazen, and Edward Hanley Jr., and his wife Barbara of Winsted, a sister Dorothy Wells of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as nine (9) grandchildren and eleven (11) great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the former Newington Children's Hospital now known as The Connecticut Children's Medical Center, 282 Washington Street in Hartford, CT, 06106.
