HRICKO, VINCENT S. Torrington- Vincent S. Hricko, 86, of Simmons Street, died Monday June 16, 2014 at Litchfield Woods Healthcare Center, Torrington. He was the beloved husband of Irene (Kacmarcik) Hricko. Mr. Hricko was born in Simpson, Pennsylvania on February 4, 1928, son of the late Andrew and Anna (Earhow) Hricko, and had been a Torrington resident for most of his life. He was a WWII U.S. Marine Corps Veteran, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and the WWII Victory Medal. Mr. Hricko was a retired employee of the production control department with the Torin Corp., retiring with thirty years of service. He was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Waterbury, and Sacred Heart Church in Torrington. Mr. Hricko was a member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols, Branch 23. Survivors, in addition to his wife Irene, include two daughters; Barbara Wait and her husband John of Andover, MA, and Linda Hricko of Torrington, two grandchildren; Andrew W. Wait and Elizabeth C. Wait, a brother, Andrew Hricko and his wife Barbara of Orlando, FL. He was predeceased by two brothers; Joseph Hricko and Henry Hricko, and three sisters; Helen Roman, Gertrude Janco, and Ann Waligura. Friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday June 19, 2014 at 9:30a.m. from Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, to Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove Street, Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in New Saint Francis Cemetery, Torrington. Friends may call Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. at Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home.
