LAUTENBACH, HOWARD E. LAUTENBACH – Howard E. Lautenbach, 79, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away peacefully on June 10, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones at Hope Hospice of Cape Coral, FL. Howard and his wife, Barbara were communicants of the Immaculate Conception Church and were married there 54 years ago and were residents of New Hartford until their move to FL to move near their son and family. He leaves his loving wife, Barbara (Spranzo) Lautenbach; his son, Dean and wife Dina Lautenbach; grandchildren, Jessica and fiance Tom Gereau and Dean, Jr.; great grandchild, Evan. He also leaves 3 step grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan and Dina’s son, David. Howard was predeceased by his parents, Hugo and Gertrude Lautenbach, siblings, Vivian Adamovich, Ruth Hildebrand, Clifford Lautenbach and his wife Nancy. He is survived by his godparents, Fannie and Victor Nicolucci of New Hartford; sister-in-law, Gloria Delaney of New Hartford and many nieces and nephews. He loved them all and they loved him. Howard was a graduate of Manchester High School and Howell Chenny Tech, joined the U.S.A.F 1954-1958 and attended the Institute of America and earned his degree for High Quality Publications, Magazine Books and Inserts. He was employed at CT Printers of Bloomfield, CT, for 37 years as a Master Craftsman. Howard loved sports, an avid player on many winning teams, High School, USAF and locally played for Bob’s Barber’s Shop. He was a good sport who loved his family more than anything. They loved him, a gentle spirit and he will be deeply missed. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, New Hartford at 10AM. Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Britain, at a later date with military honors.
