Ralph Giannattasio Obituary
Ralph was born on Dec. 5, 1952, in Torrington, son of the late Ernest and Jeannette (Jones) Giannattasio. He was employed by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was a member of the Sons of Italy; he enjoyed landscaping, sketching, automotive detailing, had a passion for chocolate, collected Beanie Babies and loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandson.
In addition to his beloved wife Diane, he is survived by a son Philip Giannattasio of Torrington; a daughter Dawn Kukuc and her husband Christopher of Torrington; one grandson, Matteo Kukuc; two brothers, David Giannattasio and his wife Joan of Winsted, Richard Giannattasio and his wife Anita of Winsted; one sister, Ethel Webb and her husband Charlton of Winsted; best friends, Richard and Bonnie Jacques of Goshen as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Roger Giannattasio and a sister, Carol Ballard.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, Oct. 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will be held on Thursday, Oct. 28, at 10 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Cancer Care Patient Fund, 200 Kennedy Drive, Torrington, CT 06790. Condolences may be sent to the Giannattasio family by visiting www.laportacookfuneralhome.com

Diane, I was so sorry to hear the news. He fought long and hard and stayed with us as long as he could. He will no longer suffer. Hopefully you can begin healing too now. Ralph was a wonderful person & will be remembered and missed. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ralph was a wonderful, kind and gentle person. I met Ralph when he delivered mail to the Litchfield County Medical Group. He always had a smile on his face. I had a large Huskie Beanie Baby on my desk and one day he came in with a smaller Huskie one. I still have it on my dresser. I will never forget his kindness. I will keep him in my prayers.
