HARWINTON - Linda Lee Kucinskas, 59, died on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, in the comfort of her home in Harwinton. Born May 8, 1952, in Torrington.
Linda was a graduate of Torrington High School and Ithaca College where she studied physical therapy and met Marc, the love of her life, who she married on May 9, 1976. Together, they loved to garden, camp, hike, enjoy music, spend time with their boys and help others. Linda passionately worked as a physical therapist, including many years at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, until the physical limitations from Multiple Sclerosis became too difficult. With a smile on her face always, she was well loved by all who knew her. Linda will be remembered for the incredible bond she shared with Marc, her wisdom and zest for learning, her humor, strength, and her love of nature and family. She loved all who entered her home and showed how to live simply without simply living. She always noticed the miracles around her every day.
She was the beloved wife of the late Marc Diamond and loving mother to Eric Diamond and his wife, Rachel, of Norfolk, Massachusetts, and Craig Diamond and his wife, Karin, of Tariffville. Linda was a cherished daughter of Peggy Smith Kucinskas of Torrington, and was predeceased by her father, John Kucinskas and brother Kevin Kucinskas. Linda is survived by siblings Mark Kucinskas of Redding, Joseph Kucinskas of Piedmont, New Hampshire, Debra Hanny of Torrington, and Sheri Kucinskas and husband Marc Newman of Kirkland, Washington. She also was the proud grandmother to Jake and Anna Diamond of Norfolk, Massachusetts, and a loving aunt to many.
A memorial service and luncheon to celebrate Linda's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at Green Woods Country Club,
300 Torringford St., Winsted, CT.
