COLEBROOK >> Frank Anstett, Jr., entered into rest on Jan. 15, 2013. He was the husband of the late Georgia Anstett. Born March 15, 1924 in Winsted; the son of the late Frank and Fredricka (Shaefer) Anstett.
Frank served for 20 years in the United States Navy during World War II and Korea. He worked for Union Pin until his retirement. Frank enjoyed auto racing, hunting, fishing and gardening.
He leaves a son, Carl Anstett and wife Theresa of Colebrook; a sister, Jean Butterfield of Middletown; grandchildren, Andrew, Amanda and Aimee; and two nieces, Deborah and Cindy. He was predeceased by a son, Frank Anstett, III.
Friends may call on Saturday, Jan. 19, at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 1 to 2 p.m. with a service to follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be held in the spring with full Military Honors at Eno Hill Cemetery, Colebrook. Visit an online guestbook at montano-shea.com.
